About

Keith Collins was born in 1955 in Los Angeles, California.  As a young child, Keith showed incredible creativity with a special fondness for cars.

In the 1970s, Keith began his professional career as a custom tapestry and couture rug maker.

In the ‘80s, Keith added a new genre to his abilities, when he began an exclusive line of custom car mats, allowing him to explore the interiors of fine automobiles.  Shortly after, Keith was introduced to the art of Richard Pietruska, and the two of them quickly formed a 10-year working partnership, where together they created automotive tapestries for museums and private collections worldwide.

Later in the ‘90s Keith began to paint, combining his talent and experience. He was immediately well-received as a painter, with his very first originals being commissioned by Peter Mullin and Otis Chandler.

Keith is most excited about his latest oil art adventures, while his work continues to make him an international success.

The intricacy of the work, the combination of varying textures, and the love of art drew his business into two creative directions: developing large wall tapestries that range in size from 3 feet by 4 feet to 18 feet by 40 feet and custom car mats, which began in 1980 and have become the bread and butter of his business. Today the technology has surpassed the process, but all of Collins’ work remains handcrafted. No two pieces are alike.
